Frankye Jones, the UW CSE department's beloved graduate student advisor, changed jobs at the start of Autumn quarter 2000, after many, many years of service to the department. In honor of Frankye, the graduate students dedicated the first TGIF of the quarter to her, and presented her with gifts and adoration for all she has done for them. Highlights of the material gifts include: Autographed 8x10 print of Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Star Wars IV set, light saber in hand. Two unsigned 8x10 prints of Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. A membership in the Washington Park Arboretum Foundation. $100 gift certificates to Elliott Bay Bookstore, Heronswood Nursery, and Silver Platters Music. Two antique books on Pacific Northwest plant and flower life. Several Toy Story II and Looney Tunes figurines.
